It has taken me months to finish this site. Matt said that when I say “I’m going to finish my site design today” he’s taken it as a cue to switch off from listening to me. I guess that says how often I thought it was nearly finished. I probably had a fairly decent site design beforehand, which lasted about four months before I got fed up with it, so this time I wanted to make sure that I at least wrote decent HTML and made it a good enough theme that if I got tired of my original design, I could just re-CSS it.

So, I intend to keep this site up, add my work to it as soon as it’s finished (I have a few new pieces already waiting to be put up) and gradually evolve the design to fit the content as best I can. This blog is a very new thing to me too. I have been blogging privately for my professional contexts module, but nothing has been committed to public yet, so I’m sure it won’t be long before I’ll be sticking my foot in my mouth and offering mass apologies. I also haven’t managed to get the comments working yet, but I will try to get it sorted ASAP!
