Web and App Design

WordPress Theme Design

I always design my WordPress themes from scratch, mostly based on my own blank theme. I work with WordPress for a lot of reasons, but in the main I use WordPress because it’s:

  1. Free (in both senses of the word.) It allows me to make inexpensive themes because I don’t have to factor in the cost of some fancy content management software.
  2. It’ll be around for a long time. WordPress has got a huge community and a lot of support behind it. It’s not going to disappear tomorrow or next month so I feel confident in using it as a future-proof solution.
  3. The WordPress admin is great. If you want to change your content it’s really easy. On almost every occasion my clients are able to change the content of their website themselves for maximum flexibility and no cost!

A WordPress theme can cost between £1500 and £5000.

Web App Design

I can deliver templates for your web app in HTML and CSS, ready to bolt on to your backend.

From the initial planning phases, through wireframes and up to the finished product I can help you create usable and good-looking interfaces.

Website Design

Don’t need content management? Not got a web app? I’m happy to create a website for you in good old HTML and CSS.

NOTE: I don’t (and no, I won’t!) outsource any of my development work, I do it all myself.

Website Visuals Design

When working with developers or companies that have in-house developers, I’m happy to create static mockups of website designs if you want to handle the development yourselves.

Mockup-only website designs can cost from £800 to £3000 depending on the complexity of the content and amount of pages. If we’re looking at a responsive web design, I would recommend the mockups are created in HTML and CSS.

Icon Design

Icons work best when designed at the intended display sizes. I often created multiple versions of an icon at different sizes to accommodate the varying detail and line weights needed for a good-looking interface.

The cost of icon design can vary from £500 for a few simple icons to £2500 for more, complex and multiple-sized icons.
